Synopsis:
A fitting epilogue to the Strangers in Paradise" story arc, this issue features all the supporting characters which endeared Wonder Woman to its readers.
We see Julia Kapatelis in Turkey, at an archaeological site, receiving a letter from her daughter Vanessa who is in summer camp. We see Vanessa enjoying summer camp, playing counselor and having her first period. We see Vanessa's best friend
Lucy Spears, having a good time. And we all see how Vanessa simply adores Lucy.
We see how the Themysciran Summit ends. We see the amazons side by side with the delegates from Patriacrh's world cleaning up the mess they all created when they ate Eris' apples. We see Diana transport the delegates back to our world.
We see Diana's loneliness when, upon delivering the delegates safely to our world, she reaches Beacon Hill only to find it empty, no Vanessa, no Julia in sight. We see Diana's concern over Hermes' waning power as she flies to Framingham, to
Steve's apartment, where Hermes is supposed to be. But Hermes and Steve were not there. Diana finds that Etta's busy. That Superman is also busy. That her friends at the Mayer agency are all busy. And Diana realizes that she's truly missing Julia
and Vanessa. All these sentiments, Diana has written down and sent via courier pigeon to Julia who is in Turkey.
After Julia reads Diana's letter, she writes immediately and let the courier pigeon deliver her answer to Diana. But the courier pigeon does not make it as a talon of some big avian creature crushes the pigeon to death.
Meanwhile, we see Diana in Beacon Hill. Waiting for Julia's answer. Waiting for the courier pigeon.
