Changeling, Flamebird and the kids, meanwhile, continue to hunt for the Wildebeests, discovering that an old man had them under his protection, doing his best to get them to help make his neighbourhood a safer place.

Libby is contacted by Lance Gallant, formerly Captain Triumph, who says he knows who killed Philip. He claims it was his deceased brother Michael, who was angered by Philip's affair with Jesse Quick and how he bragged about it to others. Michael soon takes over Lance's body and the Titans have to bring him in - Lance will have to undergo serious psychaitric examination. Elsewhere, the kids decline an invitation to join Titans L.A., preferring to stay in the neighbourhood they were in earlier, and fulfil the man's dream of making it a safe place. And the permenance of the rift between Jesse and Libby becomes perfectly clear.
