Synopsis:

Superman makes his way into Hell's Heart, looking for a woman named Traci Thirteen who may be able to lead him to Lana Lang. Most of the people there are distrustful of his reasons for seeking these women, but Traci eventually finds him. She speaks of meeting Lana briefly, but says that she wasn't strong enough to survive - nobody ever is. Superman then discovers the horrors Traci Thirteen sees - some sort of parasites feeding on the sorrow and despair of everyone in the neighbourhood. And it is too late even for him, as a parasite latches on to him before too long.
