Comment: This landmark issue features almost every major supporting character still alive in the Superman comics. It marks the last issue of Roger Stern as writer. Synopsis:
The final battle for Metropolis awaits. Lex Luthor has been exposed for his crimes by a key ally's betrayal and Lois Lane is finally clearing her name. But Luthor won't go down without a fight, and even with the help of Supergirl and Superboy, there may be no way for Superman to save his beloved Metropolis. Meanwhile, a very special event takes place back in Smallville.
