Comment: The story in this issue is the third part of a four-part story that is told out of sequence. The entire story actually takes place in between pages 22 and 23 of Superman Vol. 2 #7. Parts one and two appeared in Legion of Super-Heroes Vol. 3 #37 and Superman Vol. 2 #8, and part four appears in Legion of Super-Heroes Vol. 3 #38. Superman does not appear in either of the Legion of Super-Heroes chapters of the story.
