Nightwing, meanwhile, has tracked Alfred to London and after a bit of a run-around he finds his old friend and joins him in his quest to help Derek. Behind it all is a plot to carry out a coup and destroy the Channel Tunnel, but with Derek's help the plot is thwarted, though Derek dies saving Alfred's life. Joanna then confesses that she lied to Alfred about Derek's parentage, and he decides that it is time to return to his 'family' in Gotham City.
