Synopsis:

A pitched battle breaks out in the courtroom when Carl Sands regains control of his shadow vest and thus gets full control of his Shadow Thief powers back. Eventually, Lorraine Reilly, the former Firehawk, is able to render him unconscious, but Merlyn and Phobia get away and a mistrial is declared - Shadow Thief will go on trial again when he recovers from the injuries he sustained in the battle. Elsewhere, Dumas kills Chase Lawler and leaves his body for Mark Shaw to find, and Calculator decides to spare Shadow Thief's life as his increase in power could be useful for the Society.
