Synopsis:

In an effort to rouse J'onn, H'ronmeer sets the deserted town where Erdel lives ablaze, leaving J'onn to rescue his old friend. Bit's of J'onn's true memory come back and Erdel tells him the truth: J'onn's pain over his wife and daughter's deaths was so intense when he was brought to Earth that he destoyed Erdel's equipment, his way back to Mars. He was so distraught that Erdel concocted a set of false, happy memories of Mars culled from pulp sci-fi for J'onn and then faked his own death to leave J'onn free. He then reveals that he has reconstructed his equipment and J'onn takes his first trip back to Mars.
