Synopsis:

While patrolling Gotham, Batman encounters a frightened, perhaps hallucinatory J'onn J'onzz and takes him back to the Batcave. J'onn says that he is sick and needs a friend, but also fears that he may be endangering Batman's life. His fear is well-founded, as a demonic-looking apparition soon materialises in the cave, though Batman cannot see it. J'onn knocks him out and flees; when Batman wakes up, he can see the vision. Later, the strange being tells J'onn that he has come to cure him of a disease he is unaware of, and Batman calls in the JLI to help their friend.
