Comment: Whether or not the future depicted in this story is the actual future of the Martian Manhunter remains to be seen.

Synopsis:

It is the year 85,271 and a green meteor is falling towards the planet Mars when a hand reaches up from the planet itself and catches it - the meteor is Green Lantern and the hand is formed by the ancient J'onn J'onzz, legendary Martian Manhunter. He tells Kyle, who is visiting the future, a little of his millenia-long history, including encounters with Darkseid and the Legion of Super-Heroes, along with an incredible number of heroic deeds, and sends a message back with Kyle to his old self, which he says will make the future so much brighter for him.
