Synopsis:

Held prisoner on a space-pirate ship, J'onn is able to telepathically convince their Captain not to kill them but to hold out instead for more money. He discovers that they are acting under orders from a being called Cabal with impressive telepathic ability.

Meanwhile, news arrives on Saturn that Jemm and Ch'arissa have been captured, and signs of strain between the currently peaceable races of the red and white Saturnians begin to show. Captain Synn is despatched to deal with the problem, even as J'onn falls in love with Ch'arissa, the White princess, and an attack on Jemm is narrowly aborted.

J'onn is discovered to be free on the pirate ship, and an attack on him fritzes a control panel, just as Commander Synn catches up with them and orders the ship to be destroyed, with the royal couple on board.
