Synopsis:

J'onn departs the JLA watchtower for a journey to Mars. Superman offers to accompany him, but J'onn turns him down, pointing out that the journey is something of a pilgrimage for him and that it is something he must do alone. He also recounts for his friend something of his past, notably the tragic events that robbed him of his family.
