Synopsis:

Raven cannot cope with the emotions she must smother in herself to prevent the coming of the demon Trigon, and finds no sympathy or support in her fellow citizens of Azarath. She journeys to Earth, where she encounters others' emotions for the first time, and is almost overwhelmed.

Kid Flash, meanwhile, is finding it hard to keep down both a normal life and a career as a super-hero. The final straw comes when his unexplained absences cause his girl-friend to cheat on him with his best friend. Angered and enraged, he speeds halway around the world, finally coming to a stop on a frozen, deserted mountain-top. Here he is discovered by Raven, who has been drawn to his feelings, and is given hope to continue. This hope will soon cause him to agree to join the New Teen Titans, although he doesn't remember his meeting with Raven.
