Synopsis:

Stargirl has been captured by Atom Smasher, and Nabu has imprisoned Doctor Fate within his amulet in order to aid Black Adam and his allies. However, the former incarnations of Fate are also to be found in the amulet, along with Fury, the current Doctor Fate's wife, and together they work to oppose Nabu's influence. Eclipso manages to overcome Alex Montez, killing Nemesis and driving Montez to suicide. Wildcat, Doctor Mid-Nite and Mister Terrific escape their bonds as Black Adam attempts to convert Billy Batson (Captain Marvel) to his cause. Soon, Atom Smasher discovers that the voice in his head has been the Atom, sent in to Kahndaq by Hawkman, and he agrees to help free Captain Marvel. When Black Adam and Brainwave discover the bodies of their allies, they assume Hawkman killed them and attack harder than ever. The Atom enters Brainwave's brain and discovers something very surprising - Mister Mind is in residence there.
