Obsidian is recovering in the care of the D.E.O., hoping to be able to rebuild his life as a force for good, while Alex Montez is recruited by Black Adam, knowing that the JSA will never allow him to keep Eclipso's black diamond. Meanwhile, Power Girl and Wildcat, acting on a tip from Black Canary, encounter some terrorists from the nation of Kahndaq, as well as the Crimson Avenger, who says she has come to kill Wildcat, promptly shooting him.
