Synopsis:
The true identity of Doctor Fate's body's mother has been revealed as Dove, who was forced by Mordru to bear Hawk's child. Doctor Fate is distressed that he still does not know the whereabouts of his wife and joins the rest of the Justice Society, who are guarding the courthouse where Kobra is on trial for killing the passengers on Flight #178 eleven months ago along with numerous other charges. However, he outmaneuvers them: if he is not released, five hundred of his followers will die. Meanwhile, back at JSA headquarters, Alex Montez is injecting himself with the essence of the black diamonds which power Eclipso, sent to him by Eclipso's nemesis, Bruce Gordon. Kobra's release brings about a rift in the society as Black Adam and Atom Smasher, believing he should have been killed when they had the chance, quit. And Doctor Fate is asked to unmask by Hawkman, revealing that Mordru has taken charge of his body.
