Synopsis:
The tide begins to turn in the JSA's favour: Black Adam and Atom Smasher's fight lasts
for so long that they are able to overcome the agressors pumped into them, but they then have
to face the Warhound of Apokolips; Dr Mid-Nite and Mr Terrific force themselves into a
stalemate so that their game of chess is reset and they are able to take advantage of this
moment of weakness to break their bonds; and Sand releases Hawkgirl so that she can deliver
the antidote to Hawkman while he remains in silicate form, immune to his poison.
The Warhound's rampage is only brought to a stop by Roulette, who is able to bring it
to heel. Meanwhile, the JSA begin to gather together, Black Adam and Atom Smasher finding a
new respect for one another. They discover that Sand is weakened even in his silicate
state and they must escape rather than avange the numerous fallen heroes whose names they've
seen on the walls. Roulette is angry that they've spoilt her day and sends them back
instantaneously, much to their confusion. In Nevada, Roulette plans to rebuild, to find
the new Mister Terrific and kill him, in honour of her grandfather's memory. Her grandfather
being Terry Sloane, the original Mister Terrific...
