Synopsis:

The Spectre has fallen before the King of Tears, and yet all is not lost, as the spirit of vengeance repairs itself from the inside out. Black Adam and the JSA then begin to formulate a plan to defeat Johnny Sorrow and send both him and the King of Tears back where they belong. Black Adam is to lend the Flash his speed, so that the veteran speedster can reach lightspeed, and, when the JSA manage to distract Sorrow, ram into him at full speed, hopefully knocking him back through the dimensional barriers he originally came through. Jay is then to use Black Adam's energy signature to draw him back safely from the edge of the Speed Force.

Scared that he may not be coming back, Jay bids farewell to his wife while the JSA move in on Sorrow. He is confronted by Mid-Nite (whom he thought dead), who has recorded the impression of Sorrow's face in his goggles and prepares to show this to the villain. Shocked and stunned by the tactic which was used to slay the gorgon and the cockatrice, Sorrow becomes tangible long enough for the super-charged Flash to ram into him, and for the two of them to disappear.

Later, when the world has set itself back to rights, the Spectre visits Sentinel's hospital bed and heals him instantly, a deeply confused Hawkgirl collapses into the Star-Spangled Kid's arms, and J.J.'s thunderbolt wonders what has become of the Flash. The answer? Following Black Adam's energy signature back home has almost had the desired effect, except that the Black Adam he finds is Teth-Adam, Black Adam as he was in the days of the Egyptian pharaohs. Far, far in the past he is greeted by Teth-Adam, Nabu the Wise and Prince Khufu.
