Synopsis:

The Ancients prepare to do battle with the destroyers, while the destoryers - the JLA - try to communicate with Aquaman, trapped in a watery form, and can only get the message that they should save his people. The Flash guards the feverish Batman, while the other JLA members seek out Mera, Queen of Atlantis, and learn that the people have been enslaved by Gamemnae for the last fifteen years. They decide to take the battle to the Ancients, but are confronted with a trophy - the Flash, minus his legs, dying.
