3,000 years ago, and Atlantis is ruled by sorcerers and a group of powerful beings from across the world led by Rama Khan and Gamemnae. Elsewhere, the JLA are recovering from their rough time travel to this period - Baman is feverish, and Green Lantern continues to be plagued by visions of his team-mates' deaths. Tezumak and Manitou Raven return from the future, and soon Raven is aware that the JLA - the 'destroyers' are here. The JLA themselves discover Aquaman, trapped in a watery form in a pool in the centre of Atlantis.
