Synopsis:

Ra's al Ghul has stolen the world's written language, causing utter chaos worldwide. Batman arrives at his Himalayan fortress, where Ra's has the bodies of Batman's parents suspended over the Lazarus pit, musing over whether its chemicals would allow people other than himself to be reborn.

Flash and Wonder Woman, dealing with a distressed, blind Green Lantern, come under attack. A VR chip enters Wonder Woman's brain, convincing her that she is engaged in battle with a foe who is in every way her equal, and Flash is caused to experience epilepsy at light speed. Oracle relays a message to Superman about the cause of the language loss, a signal broadcast to everyone's neural language centers, which he is able to block in Metropolis using a white sound generator.

J'onn has been outfitted in a suit designed to hydrate Atlanteans on land, and attempts to rescue his team-mates, aided by the arrival of Superman, who is exposed to an engineered form of Kryptonite which makes his skin transparent. Too late, Batman discovers what is going on and attempts to warn Superman to get away, telling him that all the traps and snares the League has encountered were of his own making.
