Synopsis:

The heroes of Earth work to prevent total nuclear destruction of the Earth, as Steel works out that Plastic Man's plan to defeat Queen Bee hinged on her blindness to the colour red - attacking her wrapped in his cloak he is able to send her away via boom tube, the swarm following their Queen wherever she may have gone. Barda and Captain Atom are gravely injured and Mister Miracle takes his wife back to New Genesis.

Animal Man tells Steel that through his observation of the animal kingdom he has ascertained a way to prevent Mageddon's takeover; Martian Manhunter discovers Superman in chains inside Mageddon; and the Flash brings help in the form of the last survivor of Wonderworld.
