Synopsis:

The super-villains incarcerated at Belle Reve are enraged and rioting, and various members of the JLA are sent in to deal with the situation, including the Green Lantern, whose ring is stolen by the Red Dart and analysed by Prometheus. Meanwhile on the JLA watchtower, Steel and the Huntress prepare for invasion as someone makes their way through watchtower defences.

The cause of the disturbances at the prison is revealed to be a Mageddon probe which has attached itself to telepath Hector Hammond and which is destroyed by Orion. The watchtower intruder is Mister Miracle of the New Gods sent to warn the JLA of Mageddon's imminent approach. Meanwhile Lex Luthor organises a new Injustice Gang, including Prometheus, the General and the Queen Bee.
