Disciple (Jerome Cox, first appearance)
Synopsis:
Jerome Cox is allergic to many of the trappings of modern life, and he is also a
disciple of some truly ancient gods or god-like beings. He encounters members of the JLA and
they begin to devolve into ancient forms - Batman and the other humans become Neanderthal,
Aquaman an aquatic beast, Zauriel a cherubim and so on. Nonetheless they move in on the
disciple and are drawn together by Wonder Woman, whose devolved form is a pure soul. The
disciple is unable to stand against them and is snatched away by those he follows and had
hoped to bring to this world.
