Synopsis:

Dr Occult performs magical surgery on Superman and briefs the JLA on the Diablos and their probable location. The Diablos, Anita Soulfeeda and their various captives descend upon a villa where they have taken the Fountain of Lessing and are greeted by Hermes Trismegistus in the body of Felix Faust. They are also confronted with the Justice League, who begin to battle the Diablos, giving Blue Devil time to free himself and enter the fray. Faust also takes action, to save June Moon. June recognises Anita Soulfeeda as none other than the Enchantress - in saying her name, she robs the Enchantress of her powers, and the two of them are replaced by a woman of pure spirit.

Tempest works to cut off access to the Fountain of Lessing, using the power that Faust had blessed/cursed him with, while Wonder Woman allows Faust to tap the power of her soul in order to battle Trismegistus, persuading the other Leaguers that they should do the same. He enters the fountain with the villain, which Blue Devil then destroys with his trident. There is an almighty explosion which wipes out the Diablos and leaves no trace of Faust or his father.

The being that was June Moon and the Enchantress now calls herself Soulsinger and helps to revive the fallen Sentinels. Back at the villa, Faust undoes the spell that kept him and his father (now rid of Trismegistus) hidden from the League, and admits that in the heat of battle, something very akin to feelings were found in him.
