Comment: The Jim Craddock seen in this story is revealed later in the series to be the original human form of the Gentleman Ghost, and is said to die at Nighthawk's hands some time after his appearance here, which should be classed as his earliest chronological appearance.

Synopsis:

Nighthawk and Cinnamon, former incarnations of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, meet in St Roch, where they save an innocent man accused of murder from an angry mob. They fall in love, and have many adventures before being killed by the woman who had set the innocent up.
