Gabriel Vasquez; Kyle's father; first true appearance?, also in flashbacks); Mrs Rayner (flashbacks only) Synopsis: Kyle reviews the past of the Green Lanterns on Earth and realises that he could change some things, erase some of the mistakes of the past. He is counselled against it by the Spectre, who had after all tried something similar before - he warns Kyle to remember that although he has unimaginable power, he is still a man. Kyle tracks down his father, who tells him a little of his past, Kyle filling in some other details by reading his mind when he senses some lies creeping in to the story. However, Kyle is unaware of other details, including the fact that his father is well aware he is also Green Lantern. He then makes his way to Oa with Ganthet, where he pours much of his power into the central battery, and the Guardians of the Universe are reborn in the form of children, whom Ganthet will rear and teach. He also makes a few modifications to his own ring before returning to Earth, having paved the way for the Green Lantern Corps to be rebuilt. |
