Synopsis:

Firebrand manages to survive his fall from a great height through a combination of luck and judgement, and his brother Javier is given fresh inspiration by a visit from the spirit of their sister. Serpentine, however, goes back on his plan to stop the attacks on MediChem and tries to force Dr Quick into having the same 'accident' that deformed him, despite being confronted with the fact that he was himself partly responsible for the original accident. Firebrand is able to rescue the doctor, but Serpentine slips away.

Later, Alex and Javier have a quiet moment together, both full of a confidence in the paths they have taken.
