The United States army, including a biohazards team, has invaded Koroscovan territory to try and get to the bottom of what is going on. Meanwhile, Joe is revelling in his freedom, as he and Dr P plan their world conquest. Much to her disgust, Canary is obliged to stick with them. Joe and the Doctor head straight for the military detachment, where Oracle attacks him with the US satellite she used earlier, again to the consternation of the Pentagon. This simply enrages Joe, and he is about to take his anger out on Canary, so Oracle has to pull out her last card - Superman, who flattens the Gardner clone, also ensuring that the US military don't take Canary into custody.
