The next night, a Chem-Max employee, Dwayne Geyer, is attacked by Pritor, and when he awakes he discovers that he is invisible in direct light, but this direct light also hurts his eyes, even if they're closed. Faced with never being able to work again, he becomes Geist, the Twilight Man. As such, he crosses paths with Batman and the police at Chem-Max, all pursuing Pritor. Geist saves Montoya's life, and the police are able to drive the parasite away. Batman gives Geist a small amount of encouragement (very small), and the new potential hero wonders where to go from here. |
