Story: "Prodigal Part Ten" (24 Pages) Credits: Alan Grant (plot, script) Feature Character: Batman III (between Batman #514 and Detective Comics #681; also appears in flashback preceding main story) Villain: Tally Man (last in #20, next in ...; also appears in flashback preceding main story) Note: Prodigal continued from Batman #514 and continues in Detective Comics #681. Synopsis: Batman is held captive by the Tally Man, who wants him to suffer for what he did to him in their last encounter. Of course, he is unaware that it was Jean-Paul Valley he encountered before and who carved the symbol of a bat intp his chest. Batman is able to struggle free, though, and when he saves the Tally Man's life in the midst of their struggle, the Tally Man declares that his debt is cancelled. Batman must, however, bring him in, although he (Dick Grayson) is more sure than ever that Batman is not who he truly is. |
