Comment: Some brief flashbacks in this issue recount the events of the 'Death in the Family' story, and these are not noted, but there are also new segments which take place between Jason's death and Batman's encounter with the Joker when the latter has set himself up as a Quraci diplomat (a retcon, as it was originally Iran), featuring Batman, Alfred, James Gordon, Barbara Gordon, Dick Grayson and the Titans, as well as a brief scene during/after with Batman, Superman and the Joker.

Synopsis:

As Felix Desidero prepares to investigate Bruce Wayne and his acquaintances regarding his role as a guardian, Batman and those around him recall how they learnt about Jason Todd's death and the events in the days that followed - his funeral and Batman's encounter with the Joker.
