Synopsis:

A tactical squad of the Gotham City Police Department is literally decimated by the alien parasite Angon, the only survivor, Kelvin Mao, being left barely alive. The new Batman is on the trail of the beast, and soon encounters someone who'd like to help him... Mao has somehow recovered and grown armour-like skin; he has outfitted himself with a whole arsenal of weapons, and the two men set out to take the monster down, using themselves as bait. They are able to drive Angon away from Gotham, but not kill it, and Mao (now calling himself Ballistic) considers doing this sort of thing for a living.
